Development Board Member Natalie O’Rourke Wins Times Grassroots Sportswoman of the Year Award
We are incredibly proud of our Development Board member Natalie O’Rourke has been awarded Grassroots Sportswoman of the Year by the Times!

Natalie joins the likes of Red Roses star Ellie Kildunne and Lioness Michelle Agyemang as The Times recognised her commitment to supporting people with disabilities in our borough through her work with Park Lane Stables RDA, and with OneRichmond.
Park Lane Stables is a vital community space in our borough, giving people with a wide variety of different needs the opportunity to ride and work with horses. People with disabilities can often end up isolated, but places like Park Lane Stables give them the chance to build community, confidence, and independence whilst also learning new skills.
Natalie founded Park Lane Stables in 2006, and was also instrumental in ensuring the future of the Stables when it came under threat. She managed to raise over £1,000,000 in just six months to prevent the Stables from closing, and keep it in the hands of the community where it is so needed.
Her work has touched the lives of so many, with her passion for animals and people alike helping to bring the community together a provide a space for everyone to be themselves. Park Lane Stables is part of the Riding for the Disabled Association, playing an important role in giving people with disabilities access to horses and nature, even in urban areas such as London.
At OneRichmond, Natalie has provided vital support as part of our Development Board. Her insight into the local area and the needs of charities and service users has been vital in informing the development of our work, and we are so grateful to have her on board.
