Natalie O’Rourke MBE

“Every day I am fulfilled by the work that I do at PLS, where my dedication to serving disabled individuals in the community intersects with my love for horses.”

Natalie O’Rourke MBE is head of the award-winning Park Lane Stables based in Teddington. In 2021, she came to national attention when she launched a successful Crowdfunder campaign to raise over a million pounds to save the historic stables from closure. PLS is now a leading Riding for the Disabled Association centre, offering access to horses and carriage driving to many disadvantaged people in and around this area.

Natalie received an MBE for her services to charity and the community in 2022 and a book about her life was published, Only Heroes & Horses. She is a National Coach Developer for the Riding for the Disabled Association and in 2024 received the Birt Spooner Cup, their highest accolade, for her outstanding dedication to enhancing the lives of disabled individuals through equestrian activities.

A sought-after inspirational speaker, Natalie is also a campaigner for the Downs Syndrome Association and a proud Ambassador for the Brentford Penguins Football Team. She lives in Teddington with her husband and two children.
