Charity Dragon's Den

This will be a live, high impact pitching event where selected grassroots charities present their work to a panel of funders (“Dragons”) in a dynamic, public format. Local charities will apply and based on grant criteria, six charities will be selected to give their pitch at the event. There will be four ‘Dragons,’ one of which will be a representative of the Development Board. Each Dragon must pledge £10,000, but how much each charity receives will be dependent on the pitch and if a Dragon is willing and able, they can give more. There will also be a crowdfunding component as the audience is able to donate to the charities at the event on the night. Opportunities will be available to pledge volunteering hours, pro-bono services and/or non-monetary donations during the event as well.
