In March 2026, we hosted a fundraising event in aid of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in our borough, raising over £20,800. Half of these funds went to our partner charity for the evening, Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank; the other half is now available as a grant fund open to any charity supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the Richmond borough.

We are now taking expressions of interest from local organisations whose work supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This includes:

• Providing immediate relief, eg. crisis support, support with food, hygiene, shelter, etc.
• Offering advice, guidance, administrative support, etc.
• Delivery of services not directly related to homelessness where homelessness/housing insecurity exacerbates or complicates the needs of service users – eg. mental or physical health support.
• Delivery of services that support people or groups at higher risk of becoming homeless, eg. young people transitioning out of the care system, refugees, people experiencing domestic violence, etc.
• Any other service or project that provides support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

• A short paragraph detailing the work you do, and how your work/project meets the above criteria
• An indication of how much funding you would be looking for (considering the total grant pot is just over £10,000)

We will then contact you to discuss next steps.

Expressions of interest will be assessed as we receive them, so the sooner you get in contact with us, the more likely we are to be able to provide support.

Please consult our grant policy before you apply to check whether your organisation is eligible to receive support from us. Please note we do not fund the following:

• Individuals
• Political activity or campaigning
• Activities that promote the practice of religion or specific belief systems
• Organisations that are not registered charities, Community Interest Companies, Schools or other
  properly constituted not for profit organisations
• Anything that is the primary responsibility of a statutory body
• Activity that does not benefit residents of the Richmond borough
