2026 Homelessness Grant

In March 2026, we hosted a fundraising event in aid of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in our borough, raising over £20,800. 50% of these funds went to our partner charity for the evening, Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank; we have also created a grant fund to support any charity supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the Richmond borough.

We have been taking expressions of interest for this grant from local organisations whose work supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This includes:

  • Providing immediate relief, eg. crisis support, support with food, hygiene, shelter.
  • Offering advice, guidance, administrative support.
  • Delivery of services not directly related to homelessness where homelessness/housing insecurity exacerbates or complicates the needs of service users – eg. mental or physical health support.
  • Delivery of services that support people or groups at higher risk of becoming homeless, eg. young people transitioning out of the care system, refugees, people experiencing domestic violence.
  • Any other service or project that provides support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Expressions of Interest for this grant are now closed.
