Lord Lee of Trafford Announced as OneRichmond’s First ‘Dragon’ For Charity Pitching Event

OneRichmond is thrilled to announce our first ‘Dragon’ for our upcoming Dragons’ Den-Inspired Pitching Event for charities!

Lord John Lee of Trafford has been a resident of the Richmond borough for ten years, having moved from his constituency in Manchester to be closer to family. He is an active member of the Richmond community, and is always looking for ways to support local community groups and individuals who are in need. He will be taking part in our Dragons’ Den-Inspired event this June as a Dragon, where he will be looking to donate towards local charities with inspiring pitches on behalf of his family trust.

Lord Lee is perhaps best known as the UK’s first ISA millionaire, and he writes regularly about investment and the stock market. His popular book, How To Make a Million Slowly, offers lessons and strategies for sustainable and steady investment and growth; he is also the author of Yummi Yoghurt, which introduces the stock market and investing principles to a younger audience. He also writes regularly for The Times, and has an extensive background in UK politics as a member of the House of Lords.

Lord Lee will be one of four Dragons at Richmond’s first ever Dragons’ Den-Inspired event for charities on 9th June. Each Dragon will be looking to donate £5000+ to local charities and organisations that support people with a wide range of needs across the Richmond borough. Charities will also be pitching towards a public audience, who will have their own opportunity to donate, as well as pledge volunteering hours or pro-bono work to any local group that might inspire them.
