Ash Vargas

Ash is Undermaster and Head of Community at local independent school Thomas’s College. Ash joined Thomas’s College in 2025 from Fulham School where he was Deputy Head Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Prior to this, he spent ten years at St John’s School, Leatherhead, where he held several key roles including Head of Boarding, Boarding Housemaster and Head of Spanish. Ash teaches Spanish and French and also speaks Portuguese. He loves language learning and is also passionate about the development of young people.

Ash believes schools should offer pupils a world of opportunity in an environment that fosters individuality and collaboration enabling all to flourish. He is keen to continue to help students from Thomas’s College collaborate, support and volunteer with charities and organisations within Richmond borough and beyond.
